Taste Local- Royal Oaks Own Zúmba Salsa

Loco for a Local Salsa
Livonia, Michigan native and owner of Zúmba Mexican Grille of Royal Oak, Tim Castañeda is proud of his local roots. Tim says,” I remember doing food at the Livonia Spree every year from the time I was about eight, until my early twenties. In addition to the Spree memories, most of his parents employees from those days went to Bentley High School in Livonia. “When you own a restaurant, you DO live in the community that you serve,” said the Grille owner.

Committed to Owning A Local Business
The Grille owner has also participated in the Culinary Extravaganza at Schoolcraft College at least six times in past years with his parent’s original restaurants. The family’s last location in West Bloomfield, closed about nine years ago. Then they opened Old Mexico at Five Mile Road and Harrison Street in 1975. The family’s first place was on Grand River and Lasher (Old Redford area of Detroit) in 1972.

To say your local is one thing, but to truly BE local is another. With a rich culinary and community history Zúmba’s new items, Fresh Salsa, Guacamole, Pico de Gallo and Margarita Mix are handcrafted with passion, knowledge and a willingness to stand behind the quality of their products. “When your selling products to friends and neighbors, you need to make sure your giving them quality,” states Castañeda.

You’ll find Zumba products at our Livonia, Berkley and Dearborn Store Locations.
